Propane Loads, Tanks and Deliveries

Propane loads post to the same load board as fuel. When a broker or carrier creates an order in the web portal, they can set the truck type the load needs, such as a bobtail, and whether the truck must bring its own pump. Customers place propane orders from the customer portal and follow each delivery there.

Propane products

Propane, including HD-5 grade, along with butane, isobutane and propane-propylene mixes.

Who uses it for propane

Propane suppliers and distributors, the carriers that haul for them, and the farms and businesses they deliver to.

How it works

  1. Say what truck the load needs

The order records the truck type, such as a bobtail, and whether the truck must bring its own pump.

  2. Post it next to the fuel loads

Propane loads sit on the same load board as fuel. Carriers bid, and the poster accepts or declines each bid.

  3. Set a low-tank threshold

Customers set a low-level threshold for each tank. When a level they enter falls below it, they get a low-tank alert.

  4. Keep the customer posted

When you post a load for one of your customers, they are told when it is loaded, when it is delivered and when you invoice them.

Common Questions

Can a propane order ask for a bobtail?

Yes. Bobtail is one of the truck types an order can call for, and carriers see the truck type and the pump requirement on the load board before they bid.

How does a customer know a tank is running low?

From the levels they record. When a level entered for a tank falls below its low-level threshold, the customer gets a low-tank alert.

Can propane customers follow their deliveries?

Yes. Customers who order from the customer portal follow each delivery there. When you post a load for one of your customers, they are told when it is loaded, when it is delivered and when you invoice them.
