Dash Fuel Dispatch Integration

Dash Fuel connects to Energy Connect through the public API: carriers that dispatch in Dash Fuel pull the loads they are ready to run, and report the pickup, the bills of lading and the delivery back onto the same order. Nobody retypes the load into the dispatch system, and the order owner sees each step on the order.

The connection is on Dash Fuel's side, using Energy Connect's public API. A carrier sets it up by issuing an Energy Connect API key for its company and giving it to Dash Fuel.

What moves

StepDirectionWhat happens
Ready loadsEnergy Connect → Dash FuelDash Fuel reads the carrier's loads that are confirmed and ready to dispatch.
PickupDash Fuel → Energy ConnectLoaded gallons and each bill of lading are recorded on the order, and the load moves to in transit.
DeliveryDash Fuel → Energy ConnectDelivered quantities are recorded, including one stop at a time on a split load, and products added at the rack.
Delivery ticketDash Fuel → Energy ConnectThe delivery ticket is attached to the order. The supplier it reports is recorded on the matching order lines, and its loading terminal fills in any terminal still blank or marked to be sent later.

Safe to retry

Energy Connect requires an idempotency key on every pickup, delivery and ticket write, so a call retried after a dropped connection returns the original result instead of recording the pickup or delivery twice.
